The Hydrocyclone is a highly efficient separation device designed for various industries, particularly in mineral processing. Operating on the principle of centrifugal force, this equipment separates particles based on their size and density. The Hydrocyclone’s cylindrical shape and tangential inlet generate a swirling flow, which allows for effective particle classification. The design aids in the removal of fine particles from suspensions, thereby enhancing process efficiency.

In a multi-hydrocyclone assembly, several hydrocyclone units operate in parallel to provide high-capacity and continuous separation. A central feed distributor ensures equal slurry distribution to each cyclone, ensuring consistent performance and optimized throughput across all units. The slurry enters the hydrocyclone tangentially under pressure, creating a swirling motion. This vortex flow causes denser and coarser particles to move outward and downward to the underflow outlet, while lighter or finer particles are carried upward through the overflow. This separation process is highly efficient and requires no mechanical moving parts.
