ADVANCED THERMAL PROCESSING TECHNOLOGY
Proses Makina’s Rotary Furnace is an advanced high-temperature processing system engineered for the efficient smelting, refining, and thermal treatment of a wide range of materials. Featuring a robust cylindrical design that rotates on its horizontal axis, the furnace ensures uniform heat distribution and precise control of chemical reactions throughout the entire batch.
The electronic waste recycling process developed by Proses Makina is based on three main stages: physical operations, pyrometallurgical operations, and chemical treatments. In this system, top-blown rotary furnaces are used to remove lead, tin, and other undesired elements from the input material. Depending on the size and project requirements, the rotary furnace can be driven either by a friction drive wheel system or a chain drive system.
The conical cap is specifically designed for multiple purposes: preserving the high internal temperature, controlling the flame’s level and shape, and facilitating easier casting operations. The furnace consists of a rotating drum with a special drive and bearing system on the chassis, along with hydraulic tilting. The liquid metal is poured from the furnace door by tilting the furnace. The burner system and stack are located on the hydraulic opening-closing door.
The furnace is equipped with a rotatable and tiltable reaction vessel capable of heating residues to temperatures above 1700°C through oxygen burners, facilitating efficient material separation and recovery. The removal of lead and tin from the input material is crucial for enhancing overall process efficiency. With their advanced design, Proses Makina’s rotary furnaces are engineered to achieve the high temperatures required for the effective and consistent removal of lead and tin, optimizing the performance and yield of subsequent processing stages.
A specially designed chimney hood with a jet pulse filtration system is used to manage exhaust gases from the furnace. After the thermal process, molten outputs are seamlessly transferred to Proses Makina’s fully automated casting unit, enabling streamlined downstream handling and material recovery.
