ORE CONCENTRATION
The Shaking Table is a sophisticated instrument designed for the gravity-based separation of minerals and other granular materials. Utilizing a reciprocating motion, this equipment establishes a stratified bed that enables particles to separate according to their specific gravity. The inclination of the table's deck and the oscillation amplitude can be adjusted to optimize separation results for various materials. Through the shaking motion and the specialized surface of the table, a differential stratification occurs, allowing heavier metal particles to settle and separate from lighter materials, such as sand and gravel. This method is particularly effective for materials ranging in size from 1 to 3 mm. In gold recovery from diverse ore types, the Shaking Table serves as an essential pre-concentration tool, seamlessly integrating with flotation and milling systems to enhance recovery rates. By minimizing the chemical usage for leaching processes, it generates concentrated materials rich in target products while also reducing energy consumption. Additionally, shaking tables can be employed for the separation of iron ores.
There are several types of shaking tables such as Gemeni, Wilfley, and Mozley tables—each with unique design features suited for different applications. The Wilfley table is the most traditional and widely used type, particularly effective for recovering coarse and fine heavy minerals like gold and tungsten. It features a long, rectangular deck and operates with a side-to-side motion combined with water flow to stratify and separate particles. The Gemeni table, on the other hand, is a modern, compact shaking table designed for high-grade gold recovery. It uses a forward-and-backward shaking motion and is known for its high efficiency in recovering very fine gold particles. The Mozley table is a laboratory-scale device ideal for small sample testing and fine particle recovery. It is often used in research or pilot-scale operations and is especially effective for fine and ultrafine particle separation. These tables are widely utilised in mineral processing plants, alluvial mining operations, and recycling processes, making them a versatile tool in the field of mineral separation. Its robust construction and precise control mechanisms make it a reliable choice for applications in mineral processing. Proses Makina's Shaking Table excels in providing a cost-effective and efficient solution for gravity separation processes, contributing to enhanced recovery rates in mining and metallurgical operations.
