In catalytic converter recycling, achieving a homogeneous mix of powders and granular materials is a critical step in the chemical recycling process. Proses Makina’s Double Cone Mixer offers an outstanding solution for this purpose, ensuring uniform blending that enhances product quality and boosts overall process efficiency. With its reliable performance, it plays a vital role in improving the consistency of end products and optimizing recycling operations.
This system is employed after the grinding process and consists of two conical-shaped drums to homogenize the material. The conical drum geometry is designed to ensure even mixing of the material. Integrated with the vacuum transfer system, our mixer operates with minimal material loss, offering high efficiency in obtaining homogeneous material. This mixer is particularly suitable for free-flowing powders, which can be uniformly blended within a defined number of revolutions (measured in time or RPM), independent of the selected mixing speed. The rotational speed of the mixer is adjustable, allowing customization based on material characteristics and desired mixing intensity.
The Double Cone Mixer is equipped with a PLC and Touch Screen panel, allowing you to monitor and control the process effortlessly. An observation panel is provided to monitor product quality and mixing efficiency. The system automatically stops in loading and unloading positions, enhancing process safety. Additionally, sensors are in place to automatically monitor valve positions and mixer positions, eliminating the possibility of errors in the process.
