Proses Makina designs and manufactures machinery and builds complete plants for mining refining and the recycling of valuable metals. Our core areas include e-waste recycling systems, catalytic converter recycling, PGM recovery plants, gold refining equipment, and lithium battery recycling technologies. We deliver both turnkey solutions and individual machines to customers across the world.
In the field of catalytic converter recycling, we have successfully established two full-scale plants in Canada. In addition, we have supplied and installed standalone units such as decanning systems, ball mills, and dust collection systems, along with comprehensive training services. One of our most recognized projects in the United States is the plant we built for Davis Recycling, where we delivered a complete physical and chemical recycling facility. We have also supplied multiple physical recycling systems in Maryland, New York, and Los Angeles, all of which are currently operating successfully. The United States and Canada remain among the regions with the highest customer satisfaction for our solutions.
Beyond North America, we have completed projects in many countries including Bulgaria, Armenia, New Zealand, Malaysia, India, the UAE, South Africa, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Spain. In Spain, we built the full hydrometallurgical section of one of Europe’s largest facilities, supported by royal and EU funding.
Our e-waste recycling systems are widely used in Europe and the Far East, with our first prototype plant installed in the United States. This early project led to strong interest from customers, many of whom later invested in our gold refining systems. Active plants are currently operating in Malaysia, Portugal, and Sri Lanka. In these facilities, we provide complete solutions including crushing and separation systems, rotary furnaces for smelting, and copper electrolysis units for high purity copper production. Following this stage, our precious metal recovery systems enable the extraction of gold, silver, palladium, iridium, and tantalum.
We have also manufactured equipment for one of Africa’s largest e-waste recycling facilities in Morocco. While we typically deliver full plants, we have also provided specialized systems such as copper and nickel recovery units in France. In Egypt and Greece, we installed rotary furnaces with a capacity of 5 tons, followed by copper electrolysis plants.
In lithium battery recycling, we installed a 5 ton per hour physical black mass recovery plant in the Far East. We also produced leaching and solvent extraction systems for a UK-based company and developed a 3 ton per day prototype facility for a Spanish client, including full training support.
In the precious metals sector, Proses Makina focuses heavily on gold refining systems. We have installed facilities worldwide with capacities ranging from 1 kilogram to 1 ton. Our solutions are widely used across Africa, where both small and large scale plants are in operation. In addition to gold, we provide efficient and practical solutions for silver and PGM refining.
Our refining equipment is actively used in South Africa, as well as in countries such as Mali, Nigeria, Libya, Central Africa, and Ghana. We have also installed gold refining and coin production systems in these regions. In Dubai, multiple refining plants and gold induction furnaces supplied by us are currently in operation.
We also develop complete systems for processing raw ore into purified metals. One of our key projects includes a full crushing, screening, separation, smelting, and refining plant for a gold deposit associated with iron ore in Afghanistan. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, we established a tantalum and niobium refining facility. Our solvent extraction systems for tantalum purification are also operating in Rwanda and Tanzania. In addition, we developed a prototype plant for iridium refining in South Africa.
In hydrometallurgy, we supply a wide range of equipment, from small units to large scale systems, often as a subcontractor for major mining companies in Australia and Canada. Many of these systems are produced without branding as part of OEM manufacturing.
